At an Inquiry held at the Offices of the HRD on 29th May 2024, Apprentice Jockey B. Ecroignard (CELESTIAL MAGMA) and Trainer S Mahadia were interviewed, in regards to the riding of the Jockey in Race 3 of Race Meeting 4, held at the Champ de Mars racecourse. Subsequently, Apprentice B. Ecroignard was charged with a contravention of Rule 43.2.3, in that, whilst riding CELESTIAL MAGMA, he failed to take all reasonable measures to ensure that he rides to the instructions given to him.
Apprentice Jockey B. Ecroignard pleaded guilty to the charge; and he was found guilty as charged.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Inquiry Board imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for 04 Race Meetings.
Apprentice Jockey B. Ecroignard has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.
