An Inquiry held at the Offices of the HRD on 17th May 2024, Mr. K Ubheeram, CEO and Representative of PTP, was charged with a contravention of Rules 80.1.16 & 80.1.25, in that, he tried to interfere with the HRD during the decision-making process of the Stewards in relation to the running of Race 3 and whilst giving an interview aired on TV, he conducted himself in a manner which had the effect of discrediting horse racing and brining disrepute to horse racing and the HRD by the contents of his post-race interview.
Mr K Ubheeram pleaded not guilty to the charge; however, he was found guilty as charged.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Inquiry Board imposed a penalty of warning off on him until 30th September 2024.
Mr. K Ubheeram has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.
