At inquiries held at the offices of the Horse Racing Division today, jockeys D Bheekary and S Rama were both suspended for one Race Meeting, for having caused interferences at Race Meeting 24, run at the Champ de Mars racecourse on Saturday 19 August 2023.
Jockey D Bheekary caused interference to Toro Bravo (R Joorawon) at the 1300 m in Race 8, while Jockey S Rama’s horse (Cloud Seeder) interfered with Travelin Man (C. Ségeon), which had to ease at the 150 m in Race 5.
D Bheekary and S Rama pleaded guilty and were found guilty as charged by the Racing Stewards. They were charged for a contravention of Rule 43.2.2. They have been informed of their right to Appeal.
