Joy and disappointment for South African jockey Bernard Fayd’herbe, as he won on Jacalac in Race 3 (The IOIG 1985 Glorious Club M Souvenir Cup) of Race Meeting 34, run at People’s Turf Plc on Saturday 19 November 2022, and he was later suspended for two Race Meetings for interference with the same horse.
He was charged by the Racing Stewards of the Horse Racing Division, on Thursday 24 November 2022, under rule 208 (d) for interference caused to Unbelievable Lad and Lock Down between the 1300m and 1250m.
Jockey Fayd’herbe pleaded not guilty, was found guilty as charged and informed of his right of Appeal.
