Following an inquiry, Brazilian jockey A. L. Da Silva has been hit with a 3-Meetings suspension by the Stewards of the Horse Racing Division on 12 October2022. The sanction was imposed for his ride on Walls Of Dubrovnik, in The SMP/JMLS Senior Persons Support Cup, ran on Race Meeting 26 at People Turf Plc.
Jockey A. L. Da Silva pleaded not guilty; however, he was found guilty of the contravention of Rule 208 (j) of the Rules of Racing, in that, he did not ride his mount to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards between the 900 m and 600 m.
As a consequence, a penalty of suspension from riding in races with effect from 17 October 2022 up to 29 October 2022 (both days inclusive), covering a period of 3 Race Meetings was imposed on him.
Jockey A. L. Da Silva was advised of his right to appeal.
