13 horses were nominated by trainers in the Group 1 Medine Maiden Cup, the major race of the Mauritius Racing Calendar, on Tuesday morning. Despite one horse which is definitely out, namely Absolutist, due to an injured hock, it is likely that we will have a 11-horse field for the 2022 Maiden Cup, which will be staged at the Champ de Mars on Sunday 2 October 2022, during Race Meeting 25.

The declarations for both meetings will be accepted on Thursday 29 September 2022. Race Cards will be published the same day.
