Bernard Fayd’herbe suspended for 10 meetings

South African jockey Bernard Fayd’herbe has been handed a 10-meeting ban by the Stewards of the Horse Racing Division. The latter did an inquiry on 29 August 2022, on his riding of horse Master Mariner in Race 4, The Micheline Virahsawmy Souvenir Cup, on Race Meeting 14 at People’s Turf Plc on Saturday 13 August 2022. The Stewards were concerned regarding his ride during the first 400 m of the race. Jockey Fayd’herbe was charged under rule 208 (a) and pleaded not guilty. He was found guilty and suspended for 10 race meetings.
