Mauritian jockey Jameer Allyhosain misses two Race Meetings through suspension by the Stewards of the Horse Racing Division for interference in race 3, The Don Corleone Cup, during Race Meeting 16 at the Mauritius Turf Club on Saturday 20 August 2022, while riding horse Memphis Mafia. An inquiry was held in order to establish why Man Of Property’s (R K Chumun) hind quarter was turned in, Sockeroo (S Bussunt) was bumped and Whipping Boy (S Rama) was tightened for galloping room approaching the 1500m. At this hearing, Jockey J Allyhosain was charged with a contravention of Rule 208(d). Jockey Allyhosain pleaded guilty to the charge and was accordingly found guilty as charged. After considering the evidence in the matter, the Inquiry Board imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of 2 race meetings.
