An inquiry was held on Monday 22 August 2022 by the Stewards of the Horse Racing Division on the behaviour of jockeys A. Aucharuz, O. Sola, N. Marday and apprentice K. Teetan in the jockeys’ room at the People’s Turf Club Plc, on Saturday 13 August 2022, during Race Meeting 14. It was reported to the board of the Racing Stewards that the aforenamed jockeys were in possession of alcohol prior to the completion of the race meeting. They were all charged under Rule of Racing 285 (a) and pleaded guilty. A sanction of Rs 5000 was imposed on each jockey.
