Trainer Rameshwar Gujadhur’s South African jockey, Chase Maujean, has been found guilty of interference by the Stewards of the Horse Racing Division on this Wednesday 13 July 2022. He has been charged under rule 208 (d) for interference near the 1000m while riding The Gatekeeper in the Mauritius Guineas Cup (Group 2) on Saturday 9 July 2022 at the Champ de Mars. He pleaded not guilty, but was imposed a two-race meetings suspension. Jockey Maujean was informed of his right to appeal.
