The Racing Stewards of the Horse Racing Division conducted an inquiry today into the fall of Jockey A Roy from Horse Special Force during Race Meeting 15, run at the Champ de Mars racecourse on 10th August 2024.
Jockey A Roy was charged for contravening Rule 80.1.19, in that he committed a corrupt, fraudulent, dishonest and prohibited practise in relation to racing; his dislodging from Special Force does not contain the elements of a natural fall.
Jockey A Roy pleaded not guilty, but was found guilty as charged. He has been disqualified for a period of 5 years and has the right to Appeal.
