Jockey Batchameah gets 6-Meetings suspension during de novo inquiry

The Appeal Committee of the GRA ordered a ‘de novo inquiry’ in the case of Jockey N Batchameah’s riding of horse French Rebel on 16 September 2023 at the Champ de Mars racecourse. At that time, N Batchameah was still an apprentice. The de novo inquiry was held today at the offices of the Horse Racing Division and Jockey N Batchameah was charged for contravening Rule 43.2.1, pleaded not guilty, however was found guilty as charged.

Jockey N Batchameah has been suspended for a period covering 6 Race Meetings. He has the right to Appeal.
