At an Inquiry held at the Office of the HRD today, Jockey Rai Joorawon (SPY MASTER) along with Trainer Shyam Hurchund were interviewed regarding the riding of the horse from the start up to the 800m.
Subsequently, Jockey Joorawon was charged with a contravention of Rule 43.2.1, in that, whilst riding the horse SPY MASTER, he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that his horse has full opportunity to win or obtain best possible placing in that race.
Jockey Joorawon pleaded not guilty to the charge, however, he was found guilty as charged.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Inquiry Board imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period covering 14 Race Meetings.
